PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To mitigate power consumption by stopping a control power supply for starting, at the time of putting out light of electric discharge lamp. SOLUTION: It has an inverter circuit 9, which converts commercial power supply voltage into high frequency voltage and supplies it to the electric discharge lamp, a receiving circuit 31, which receives a dimmer signal of the electric discharge lamp 14, a control circuit 16, which carries out drive control of the inverter circuit so that it may carry out dimmer control of the electric discharge lamp corresponding to the received dimmer signal, and a series circuit of a resistance 17 for starting, MOS type FET 18, and a diode 19. Further, it is constituted with a 1st power supply circuit, which gives the control power supply for starting to the control circuit through this series circuit before the start of operation of the inverter circuit, a 2nd power supply circuit, which gives the control power supply to the control circuit through the resistance 22 from the high frequency voltage after the operation of the inverter circuit, and a switching element control circuit 32, which turns on the FET at the time of the signal, with which the received dimmer signal carries out dimmer and lighting of the electric discharge lamp, and turns off the FET at the time of the signal, which makes the electric discharge lamp turn off. |
