WAVELET DOMAIN MOTION COMPENSATION SYSTEM

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motion estimation system for performing efficient interframe coding in the case of coding digital video so as to preserve a scalable property of wavelet transform coding. SOLUTION: Motion compensation for interframe coding of digital video is performed by matching blocks of transform coefficients representing a frame to be predicted with a phase-allocated array of coefficients representing a reference frame.
