PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a parking lock device capable of decreasing residual rotation energy. SOLUTION: An engaging ring 22 is provided so as to rotate in regard to a driving shaft, and coupled with an element 14 that cannot relatively rotate in regard to the driving shaft, for transmitting rotation. A deformable elastic element 52 is arranged in a torque path between the engaging ring 22 and the element 14 incapable of relatively rotating. The elastic element 52 receives residual rotation energy of a driving train when a locking element 46 locks the engaging ring 22.
