PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a substitute method of assisting a driver to stabilize the vehicle operating condition when undesirable yawing movement is generated, and to provide a device for carrying out the same. SOLUTION: This method and this device generate the additional torque to be added to steering wheels of a vehicle in response to the operating condition. The additional torque is formed by a coefficient K1 and a lateral slide angleβ, and this additional torque appoints a steering wheel position corresponding to the wheel position of the steering wheels for stabilizing the real operating condition. The additional torque is transmitted to the steering wheels by an electric motor. |
