PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a molded article easily by melt-molding a heat curable polyimide oligomer that can be subjected to heat treatment to form a cured product having a high heat resistance and chemical resistance. SOLUTION: A heat curable polyimide oligomer is subjected to melt-molding at 280-340 deg.C to form a molded article, the oligomer having 0-80 mol% of a repeating unit represented by formula 1 and 20-100 mol% of a repeating unit represented by formula 2 (wherein X is a tetravalent aromatic group selected from the group consisting of groups (a) to (e) in formula 4, having a molecular terminal represented by formula 3, and having a number average molecular weight of 2,000-10,000. A cured product is obtained by heat treatment of the molded article.
