PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation apparatus and a display method for producing an easy-to-see display of detailed information on a road displayed on a map. SOLUTION: In this navigation apparatus 1, when an instruction for a destination is inputted via a remote control 14a, a pointing cursor on the map is moved to a desired location according to the inputted instruction. In the case that an instruction for an information display is inputted at a specified location, a link for the road displayed in the vicinity of the pointing cursor and its direction are specified, and a corresponding road ID is acquired. Road detailed information corresponding to the acquired road ID is acquired from a road detailed information DB 17b, and the acquired road detailed information is popped up and displayed on the map. |
