PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a specimen collecting container capable of collecting, carrying and distributing the fluid specimen in safety, and easily discarding the fluid specimen in safety after use. SOLUTION: The container assembly is used for collecting, carrying and distributing the fluid specimen. The container assembly has a cup-shaped container with an opening end part for collecting the fluid specimen. A lid can be mounted on the container to close the opening end part. The lid is provided with the an access port through a cover for communicating with the collected fluid specimen, and extracting the specimen from the container. A self-sealing close member is supported in the access port by the lid for sealing the access port, to prevent the leakage of the fluid. An extracting tool can be used to extract the sample of the fluid specimen. The extracting tool is inserted into the self-sealing close member to extract the sample. |
