BIAXIALLY ORIENTED POLYESTER LAMINATED FILM AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE POLYESTER FILM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biaxially oriented polyester laminated film which shows a compatibility between outstanding straight ripping properties and high impact strength, while retaining a dimensional stability under heat and moisture environments and also extremely high gas barrier properties. SOLUTION: The laminated biaxially oriented polyester film is constituted of an oxide-vapor deposited layer laminated on one of the sides of the biaxially oriented polyester film which shows an impact strength of 450 J/cm or more and straight ripping properties in the flow direction of a machine. In addition, the polyester film is characterized in that it satisfies the following conditions: (1) haze <=8%, (2) moisture permeability <= 20 g/m<2> ./24 hr (40 deg.C/90%RH) and (3) oxgen permeability <= 100 cc/m<2> .24 hr.atm (25 deg.C/50%RH).
