PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation system of higher usability. SOLUTION: Cameras 2-1 through 2-N are respectively provided with addresses which can be uniquely distinguished from each other. A vehicle 3 has a function for detecting a self-position, and the cameras 2-1 through 2-N respectively store a table wherein the installation place is related to an address. The vehicle 3 reads out the address of the camera 2 closest to the detected self-position, and separated in the advancing direction by a predetermined distance, from the table storing the address. The instruction to transmit the data of the picked-up image, is outputted to the camera 2 on the basis of the read-out address. An image on the basis of the image data transmitted from the camera 2 on the basis of the instruction, is provided to a user of the vehicle 4. Not only the image, but also the information on traffic jam and the like can be provided. |
