MICRO-SPRAY COLUMN AND MASS SPECTROMETER, AND MASS SPECTROMETRY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a micro-spray column capable of improving ionizing effi ciency, a mass spectrometer of high sensitivity using this micro-spray column and a mass spectrometry. SOLUTION: This column for test introduction on an ion source of the mass spectrometer (ESI/MS) constituted to lead sample molecules to an analyzer by electro-spray ionizing them constitutes its characteristic feature of (1) an inner bore diameter D1 of a tip end opening part 1b of the column 1 is less than 0.5μm, (2) a particle diameter D2 of a column filler 2 is more than 0.5μm and less than 5μm and (3) it is fritless. The micro-spray column furnished with (1)-(3), the mass spectrometer furnished with the micro-spray column in the ion source and the mass spectrometry capable of nanoflow-electro-spray by the micro-spray column are hereby provided.
