PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an AC generator for a vehicle capable of easily fixing the protective member of an output terminal. SOLUTION: A rectifying circuit 54 is mounted to a radiation fin 52 of a positive electrode side by being fastened by a nut 55. A bushing 9 for insulation- protecting the output terminal 54 is arranged at the external periphery of the nut 55. A flange 93 is formed on the external peripheral surface of the bushing 9. By mounting a rear cover 7 so as to cover the flange 93, the movement of the bushing along the axial direction of the output terminal 54 and the rotation of the bushing 9 about the center of the axis of the terminal are restrained.
