REFLECTION TYPE LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY DEVICE AND ITS MANUFACTURING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a manufacturing cost in manufacturing a reflection type liquid crystal display device whose specification such as the pitch of pixels is different by making at least one sheet in photomasks to be used in common at the time of manufacturing the reflection type liquid crystal display device whose specification such as the pitch of pixels is different.

SOLUTION: In the reflection type liquid crystal display device, island-shaped patterns are formed in a matrix shape on the same layer as the semiconductor layer of thin film transistors. The display device has specific regularity in which the pitch of the island-shaped patterns in a direction along which wirings of a video signal exist is different from the pitch of adjacent pixel electrodes in the direction along which the wirings of the video signal exist and moreover the pitch of the island shaped patterns in a direction along which wirings of a scanning signal exist is different from the pitch of adjacent pixel electrodes in the direction along which the wirings of the scanning signal exist.
