PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate influence by driving reaction caused when a driving gear drives a driven gear, to prevent the abutting state of a developing roll or an abutting roller from getting unstable, and to eliminate the factor of the driving vibration of the gear so as to restrain an image defect. SOLUTION: This image forming apparatus is equipped with a developing cartridge 20 which is constituted to be attachable/detachable, and where the driven gear 55 is driven through the driving gear 54 of a main body, and toner is supplied to the developing roll 33 so as to develop a latent image formed on an image carrier 17 by the roll 33, and the image carrier 17 carrying and feeding a toner image. The apparatus has a turning supporting point 51 arranged near the meshing point of the gear 54 with the gear 55 and turnably supported in the main body, and is constituted so that the roll 33 may be energized to be turned toward the image carrier 17 by the energizing means 56 of the main body. By canceling the driving reaction or the like caused when the gear 54 drives the gear 55, the influence thereby is restrained. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
