PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the soiling of the edge of transfer material by electrostatically transferring leaked toner which is leaked from the vicinities of both ends of the aperture part of a developing device and adheres to a carrying belt through a photoreceptor drum from the carrying belt to the photoreceptor drum. SOLUTION: The toner is stuck to an electrostatic latent image formed on the photoreceptor drum by the developing device so as to develop the latent image as a toner image, and the toner image is transferred to transfer material carried on the surface of the carrying belt 11 rotating in a direction shown by an arrow R11. The transfer material is sucked to the surface of the belt 11 by a suction roller 22. When a distance between both ends in the longitudinal direction of the aperture part of the developing device is defined as developing aperture length C, the effective surface length B of the roller 22 is set to B>C. Thus, the toner leaked from the end and adhering to the surface of the belt 11 is electrified by the roller 22 so as to be reversely transferred to the surface of the photoreceptor drum from the belt 11 by the transfer roller.
