PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic seal system which enables a user who creates an electronic document to select an arbitrary electronic seal and electronic certificate out of a plurality of electronic seals and a plurality of electronic certificates and attach them to the electronic document. SOLUTION: The electronic seal system can attach user's seal impression image data to the electronic document together with an electronic signature. An electronic seal database 5 which stores N pieces of seal impression image data that respective users can use and an electronic certificate database 6 which stores M (M: an integer larger than 2) electronic certificates that the respective users can use are stored in a storage device and a combination of seal impression image data and an electronic certificate complying with a user's request among those M×M combinations is transferred to a terminal 2 which can attach those seal impression image data and electronic certificate to the electronic document together with the electronic signature.
