PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a distal end of an ultrasonic diagnosis apparatus in which pains of a medical patient to be examined can be decreased and further safety is improved as well not only by preventing a balloon from being expanded to the back side of an ultrasonic scanning direction but also by shortening the length of a hard portion on the tip of an inserting part. SOLUTION: A balloon 5 is fixed to the outer periphery portion of a tip 4 of the inserting part at a position close to the opening of a terminal portion and behind an ultrasonic probe 4a, and the balloon 5 is not fixed to the tip 4 of the inserting part at a tip side position rather than the ultrasonic probe 4a. At the same time, an engage groove 8 is formed on the surface of the tip 4 of the inserting part on the back side of the scanning direction and an engage projection 5a capable of being freely locked to and unlocked from the engage groove 8 is fixedly provided on the inner wall surface of the balloon 5.
