PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the rush current at start and enhance the life of a commutator motor for DC, by controlling the voltage waveform to be applied at operation of the commutator motor for DC by means of a control circuit. SOLUTION: This is a motor controller which controls the operation so that the waveform of the current flowing to a motor may rise gradually toward a rated current, by setting the ON time so that it may be turned off until the rush current generated in the motor comes to its peak value over a rated current, and by setting the ON time and the OFF time to be longer gradually until it reaches a rated current value, and this can enhance the life of the commutator motor for DC.
