PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmission line and a transmitter-receiver wherein the conductor loss of the transmission line is reduced and can be readily connected to semiconductor elements. SOLUTION: On a rear surface 1B of a dielectric board 1 of the transmission line, a raised portion 2 is provided, and on a front surface 1A thereof and the rear surface 1B, conductor layers 3, 4 are formed respectively. On both the right and left sides of the raised portion 2, a plurality of through holes 5 are provided along the raised portion 2. Further, on the front surface 1A of the dielectric board 1, a coplanar line 6 comprising a central electrode 6B interposed between two grooves 6A is provided, and two slot holes 7 are formed at the end of the coplanar line 6 and in the positions corresponding to the raised portion 2. Thereby, through the slot holes 7, the waveguide due to the raised portion 2 and the coplanar line 6 can be connected. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
