PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a torque sensor which performs torque detection by a desired precision of detection, by enabling fitting and fixing of yoke members to a housing, without changing their internal stresses. SOLUTION: Both yoke members 80, 90 are composed of body portions which have gate-shaped cross sections and surround surfaces other than those being opposed to a member to be surrounded 5 and both surrounding members 6, 7, and stationary flange portions 80d, 90d which protrude outwards from the brim portions of external peripheral side opening edges of the gate-shaped body portions and are fixed to the housing 1.
