PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor in which defects in the film making process such as cracks in a photosensitive layer or precipitation of a charge transfer substance in the photosensitive layer are improved. SOLUTION: In the electrophotographic photoreceptor having at least a photosensitive layer and a protective layer in this order on a conductive supporting body, the protective layer contains a thermosetting resin and the binder resin constituting the photosensitive layer is a polycarbonate resin having≥40,000 viscosity average molecular weight, preferably 50,000 to 150,000. The thermosetting resin is selected from a group comprising at least a phenol resin, epoxy resin, urethane resin, siloxane resin and acrylic resin. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
