PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filter body having a high filtering capacity. SOLUTION: The filter member 1 is formed by bending circular filter paper. A circular bottom surface folding line 31 is arranged to the central part of the filter paper and the side surface folding lines connected to the bottom surface folding line 31 to outwardly extend are formed to the filter paper to be connected to a plurality of the respective arcuate parts 33 connected to the bottom surface folding line 31 at every predetermined distance by the same constitution. The first left and right folding lines 41 and 43 extending from both left and right end parts of each of the arcuate parts 33 and the second, third and fourth left folding lines 45, 47 and 49 connected to the left end part of each of the arcuate parts 33 to extend to the left from the first left folding line 41 at a predetermined angle are connected to each of the arcuate parts 33 to form the side surface folding lines. The filter member 1 has a bottom surface part 5 formed by the hill form folding of the bottom surface folding line 31 and a side surface part 10 formed by the trough form folding of the first left and right folding lines 41 and 43 and the third left folding line 47 and the hill form folding of the second and fourth left folding lines 45 and 49.
