PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a facility for draining spring water from a railroad eliminating the need to provide a catch basin and an intermediate pump chamber through the boring of a vertical hole from above the ground. SOLUTION: A ballast concrete part 38 under rails 34 in an underground tunnel 30 is provided with a groove-like catch basin 40 extending in the direction of the rails, and pumps 42 and 52 are disposed for draining spring water collecting in the catch basin 40.
