PURPOSE: An indoor unit of a ceiling type air conditioner is provided to discharge air to a desired location with optimum wind volume. CONSTITUTION: An indoor unit includes a case(1) forming an exterior, and attached on a ceiling; a turbo fan(2) built in the case to suck in air through an inlet formed on a center of a bottom of the case, and to discharge air through a plurality of outlets(1b) formed on sides of the case; and a wind direction controlling unit(10) placed between the outlets of the case to control flowing direction of the air discharged through the outlets from side to side so as to increase or decrease wind volume of one of the outlets. The wind direction controlling unit includes a wind direction controlling plate(11) placed on a hermetic part(1c) between the outlets of the case to slide, and moving to one of the outlets to switch flowing direction of discharged air. The wind direction controlling plate is formed round to switch flowing direction of air from side to side, and to minimize flowing resistance of air. The wind direction controlling unit includes a moving unit sliding the wind direction controlling plate. |
