PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress effects on an operation schedule in case of emergency affecting the operation schedule such as vehicle failure by monitoring operation conditions of vehicles traveling on the railroads via display screen in an operation monitoring center all the time. SOLUTION: This operation monitoring system comprises the operation monitoring center 10 receiving positioning data of a vehicle 12 obtained by a positioning system from the vehicle 12; a receiver 21 which is provided in the operation monitoring center 16 and receives the positioning data of the vehicle 12; and terminals which are provided in the operation monitoring center 16 and have a display screen each for displaying an operation route of the vehicle and the position of the vehicle in comparison with the display of a sectional area 66 defined by sectionalizing the operation route or stations to pass based on the positioning data received by the receiver 21.
