PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a body construction capable of sufficiently securing wiper supporting rigidity without using a wiper linkage side reinforcement, and improving rigidity of a cowl box and torsional rigidity of a body. SOLUTION: In the body construction, a cowl top cross member 11 is arranged in a car interior side rear face of a cowl top panel 9 composing a top face of the cowl box. The cowl top cross member 11 is extended to a wiper pivot attaching part N and it is integrated therewith, and a wiper pivot 14 is attached to an extended part 13 of the cowl top cross member 11.
