PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a volume reduction and compaction device for a container enabling the volume-reduced, compacted and crushed container to be easily taken out. SOLUTION: By fitting a lid body (6) to the end face opening part of a cylinder body (3) and sliding a piston body (2) incorporated in the cylinder body (3), the container (1) held by a container holding part (4) provided on the back surface part of the lid body (6) and housed inside the cylinder body (3) is volume-reduced, compacted and crushed and the crushed container (1) is extruded by an extrusion part (5) provided on the lid body (6).
