PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filter apparatus employing a new system markedly simplifying post treatment such as transport treatment or the like in the case of the disposal of a clogged planar paper filter after use as industrial waste. SOLUTION: The filter apparatus is equipped with a filter take-up device 25 constituted so that the rotatory power of the follower shaft provided in a filter feeder 21 for feeding the planar paper filter 15 after clogging is transmitted to a power transmission means having a clutch function at the time of overload provided in the outer periphery thereof, for example, an intermediate roller 27 to which knurling processing is applied and the rotatory power thereof is transmitted to a take-up roller 30 equipped with the power transmission means, which has a clutch function at the time of overload provided in the outer periphery thereof, fitted to a filter take-up rotary shaft 29 for taking up the filter 15 after clogging and locked with the intermediate roller 27 to take up the filter 15 after clogging in a roll shape.
