PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cylinder injection type fuel injection valve with which stable engine performance in a wide rotational range is obtained by producing each fuel spray form matched to a stratified combustion mode and a homogene ous combustion mode by one fuel injection valve, and fuel consumption and output are also improved. SOLUTION: The fuel injection valve is equipped with fuel slewing means 15 applying slewing force to fuel passed through the circumference of a valve element 13 at the upper stream of a valve seat part 7, and nozzle 16 for injecting the slewing fuel. Fuel spray 47 injected from the injection hole 17 of the nozzle 16 is deflected in one direction of the basis of the axial line C of a fuel injection valve main body, and set to a spray form that fuel spray travel distance L<SB>1</SB>on a deflecting side is lengthened and fuel spray travel distance L<SB>2</SB>on a side opposite to the deflecting side is shortened.
