PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic EL display device capable of preventing short- circuiting between a first electrode and a second electrode formed so as to interpose an organic EL layer. SOLUTION: A color filter 13 is formed on the upper surface of a base plate 12. An overcoat layer 15 is formed on the upper surface of the color filter 13. A first electrode 16 is formed on the upper surface of the overcoat layer 15, and an electrode separation wall 17 is formed on the upper surface of the first electrode 16. The length w1 of projected part at a bottom part 18a of a first separation wall 18 of the electrode separation wall 17 is made larger than the length w2 of overhanging part of an eave part 19a of a second separation wall 19. The organic EL layer 20 is formed on the upper surface of the first electrode 16 by evaporation, and a second electrode 21 is formed on the upper surface of the organic EL layer 20 by evaporation. As the bottom part 18a is set so as to project out further than the eave part 19a, the short-circuiting between the edge part of the second electrode 21 and the first electrode 16 can be surely prevented.
