PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vascular closer which can accurately shut down blood stream by effectively closing the passage of a blood vessel. SOLUTION: A shape-memory wire material 21 is wound in a coil to make a primary coil 20, which is further wound in a coil to make a secondary coil 30. Furthermore, the secondary coil 30 is constituted of a stopper part 31 which has the diameter of the secondary coil larger than the inner diameter of the blood vessel to be retained and securely pressed into the blood vessel and a closing part 32 which is different from the stopper part 31 in the direction of turning it while the secondary coil diameter thereof is smaller than that of the stopper part 31. As the stopper part 31 is extruded from a catheter, it is returned to the shape of the secondary coil to be fixed on the inner wall of the blood vessel. Subsequently, as the closing part 32 is extruded from the catheter, it is returned to the shape of the secondary coil with the diameter smaller than that of the stopper part 31 to be engaged with the stopper part 31 thereby effectively closing a blood path.
