PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital camera for improving operability and capable of imaging and replaying for a long time. SOLUTION: A sensing part 7 for sensing whether an EVF (electric viewfinder) 6 is in use or not. When the sensing part 7 does not sense the use of the EVF 6, the display on the EVF 6 is turned off and images are displayed on a LCD (liquid crystal display) 5. On the contrary, when the sensing part 7 senses the use of the EVF 6, the display of the LCD 5 is turned off and the images are displayed on the EVF 6. Display switching between the EVF 6 and the LCD 5 can be performed instantly and automatically in response to user's desire, so that the operability of the camera is improved and power consumption is suppressed, and imaging and replaying by the camera can be performed for a long time.
