PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a supporting stand for a fishing rod, having a simple structure, capable of swinging in up and down, or left and right directions and also being fixed at an optional angle. SOLUTION: This supporting stand for the fishing rod is provided by forming the middle part of a plate material 11 as low, bending both sides of it in upward direction, mounting surface fasteners 13, 13 at the both ends of it and forming mounting parts 12, 12 for mounting the fishing rod 4, and consists of a stand 10 formed by a supporting member 8 obtained by boring penetrating screw holes 15a, 15b and 15c in a prescribed distance along with the longitudinal direction of the plate material 11, a joining tool 9 installed with a screw rod 18 to be inserted into the mounting hole 15b at its upper part, and a round pipe 19 to be inserted with a round rod 17 of the lower part of the joining tool 9.
