PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera with a remote control device in which a housing part exclusively for the remote control device is not formed in a camera main body and also whose portability is high. SOLUTION: The remote control device is assembled into a front cover 12 freely attachably/detachably attached to/from the camera main body 10. A shutter release button 34, a photographing mode button group 36 and an LCD 38 are disposed on the back face of the remote control device 12. The photographing mode button group 36 is constituted of the changeover button 40 of panoramic/standard sizes, an autostroboscopic button 42, a forcible stroboscopic light emission button 44, a stroboscope turn-off button 46, a distant view photographing button 48, a close-up photographing button 50, a self-photographing button 52 and a night view photographing button 54 or the like. Also, a panoramic display part 70, an autostroboscopic display part 72, a forcible stroboscopic display part 74, a stroboscope turn-off display part 76, a distant view photographing display part 78, a close-up photographing display part 80, a self-photographing display part 82, a night view photographing display part 84, a zooming display part 86, a rewind display part 88, a date display part 90, a date imprint display part 92, a photographing number display part 94, a battery check display part 96 are formed at the LCD 38.
