摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a floatation separation method in which time required for floating is short and separation efficiency is good even when ultrafine air bubbles are used, and also to provide a floatation separation apparatus used for the same. SOLUTION: This apparatus is provided with a floatation separation tank 1 for storing a treatment liquid, a pump 5 for forming the ultrafine air bubbles which forms ultrafine air bubbles X that adsorb the object materials for separation in the treatment liquid within the floatation separation tank 1, an outlet port 10 for discharging the ultrafine air bubbles which discharges the ultrafine air bubbles X that the pump 5 forms into the treatment liquid, an ultrasonic transducer 21 for generating ultrasonic wave which is applied to the treatment liquid and air bubbles, and an ultrasonic source 22 for impressing a voltage to the ultrasonic transducer 21. The ultrafine air bubbles X are floated due to the buoyancy generated by the sound pressure through the ultrasonic wave and the treatment liquid, and the object materials for separation adsorbed to the ultrafine air bubbles X are separated from the treatment liquid.
