PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for forming a coated film which forms a coated film (coating layer) having uniform and excellent appearance on a web and suppresses an uneven coating called lateral uneven coating which is formed in the direction vertical to the advancing direction of the web and is caused by vibrations of the web. SOLUTION: In this applying method of coated film, coating liquid is applied to the upper and lower both surfaces of the web continuously running and, thereafter, both of the surfaces of the web are dried. Therein, just after the coating is applied on both of the surfaces of the web, the running web is supported on one point or more in the width direction by a supporting means of narrow width.
