PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a binder resin for toner to realize a toner having an excellent balance between fixing property and offset preventing property and having a wide fixing temperature range, in particular, in a low temperature region without decreasing storage stability, and to provide a toner having the above properties. SOLUTION: The binder resin for toner comprises a vinyl copolymer containing units from polyalkyleneglycol mono(meth)acrylate having a hydroxyl group at the molecular end.
