PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water treatment apparatus which effectively suppresses the clogging of membrane filter and efficiently decomposes water containing organic material. SOLUTION: This water treatment apparatus 1 which filtrates the water containing organic material by using a membrane filter 2 is provided with powdery photocatalyst to be mixed with the water, a light source 3 which emits the light applied to the mixed water of the water and the photocatalyst and gas supply devices 6A, 6B which supply gas to the membrane filter 2 and stir the mixed water 13.
