PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a vehicle fire extinguishment system for effectively perform fire-extinguishing operation with protection of human lives as the first purpose without requiring a large mounting space. SOLUTION: The system is provided with: fire detection means 15 and 16 for detecting a fire; a fire extinguisher storing container 1 for storing a fire extinguisher; discharging means 2, 3 and 17 connected to the container 1 for discharging the fire extinguisher within the container 1 based on the signals of the detection means 15 and 16; passenger room extinguisher discharging means 6, 8 and 10 connected to the container 1 for releasing the discharged fire extinguisher into a passenger room 101; and engine room extinguisher releasing means 7 and 9 connected to the container 1 for releasing the discharged fire extinguisher into an engine room 102.
