PURPOSE: A diversity receiving apparatus using automatic control phase compensation is provided to improve the performance of diversity by using a phase comparison combination method when the difference of two receiving signals is low and by using a level comparison diversity method when the difference of the two receiving signals is high. CONSTITUTION: The first LNA(Low Noise Amplifier)(37) amplifies a receiving output of a duplexer(34), and outputs the amplified signal to a mixer(41). A BPF(Band Pass Filter)(33) removes a received signal outside a certain receiving band in a signal received from a diversity antenna(31). The second LNA(35) amplifies a receiving output of the BPF(33). A phase converter(36) converts a phase of a signal outputted from the second LNA(35) in a certain angle interval, and outputs the signal to a mixer(42). A synthesizer/selector(44) combines IF(Intermediate Frequency) signals outputted by the mixers(41,42). A demodulating unit(45) demodulates a signal outputted from the synthesizer/selector(44), and outputs a demodulated signal. A phase detector(38) detects the phase difference of an output signal of the first LNA(37) and an output signal of the phase converter(36). An analog/digital converter converts a signal outputted from the phase detector(38) into a digital signal, and transmits the digital signal to a control unit(52). A receiving electric field sensibility detector(51) detects the electric field strength of signals received from a main antenna(32) and the diversity antenna(31). The control unit(52) compares a result value outputted from the receiving electric field sensibility detector(51) with a certain reference value. A logic circuit unit(53) controls the phase conversion of the phase converter(36) on the basis of the compared value of the control unit(52).
