PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrolyte for an electrolytic capacitor of good standing performance, a manufacturing method therefor, and an electrolytic capacitor using the same. SOLUTION: A water-soluble metal complex containing a phosphoric acid is added to the electrolyte for an electrolytic capacitor. Therefore, the water-soluble metal complex releases a phosphoric ion to keep the phosphoric acid in an electrolyte to an appropriate amount for a long period of time, and thus the degradation of electrode foil is suppressed after being left standing. Thus, the standing performance of the electrolytic capacitor which uses the electrolyte for an electrolytic capacitor is excellent. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
