PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently manufacturing toner having excellent distribution of the particle size and printing quality and having a small particle size. SOLUTION: The method includes a process of preparing colloid particles of an inorganic compound hardly soluble with water in an aqueous medium to which compound containing boron, phosphorus or silicon is added, and a process of polymerizing a polymerizable monomer composition comprising a colorant and polymerizable monomers in the presence of the above colloid particles to obtain color polymer particles.
