PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To downsize a vehicular body detecting device capable of detecting that a side brush abuts on a vehicular body in a back-and-forth direction. SOLUTION: In this vehicular body detecting device 50 for a car wash 10, a neutral member 55 fixed on a guide rail 12 is sandwiched by front and rear centering rubber 56A, 56B fixed in a frame 11 side. The vehicular body detecting device 50 is provided with a vehicular body detecting sensor 57 detecting that the side brush 20 abuts on the vehicular body in the back-and-forth direction by detecting a rocking state in the back-and-forth direction of the guide rail 12 to the neutral position.
