PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pants type diaper capable of surely preventing it from being slid down after wearing and preventing a fitness from lowering due to the fall of the upper end area of a front body and the invasion thereof to the underside of a gather part. SOLUTION: This pants type diaper comprises the front body A, a rear body B, and a crotch part positioned therebetween. An absorbing body is fitted to at least the crotch part and the front body A and the rear body B are joined to each other at both side parts to form a waist opening part 1 and both leg opening parts. The upper end line BL of the rear body B forms a projected curved line in the waist opening part 1, an elastic extendable member S is installed along the projected curved line, and a supporting function is provided by the upper end of the rear body.
