<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an on-line handwritten character pattern recognizing editing device and method capable of independently performing the input of handwritten letters, pattern recognition processing, and editing operation on the result of recognition by a user at an arbitrary timing. <P>SOLUTION: In this on-line handwritten character pattern recognizing editing method for recognizing and editing the on-line handwritten character pattern, the on-line handwritten character pattern is acquired and recognized, a recognition result character string and the editing information are outputted to an indicated area, the editing information is stored as the recognizing editing information data for every indicated area, an area for editing the recognition result character string is indicated, the recognizing editing information data stored in the area corresponding to the editing area is read out to perform the editing, an interface not displaying a character box is used when the on-line handwritten character pattern is acquired, and an interface displaying the character box is used when the editing of the on-line handwritten character pattern is performed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
