PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charged secondary battery with an excellent reservation stability that obviously indicates that the battery has been charged and a charging apparatus for a used secondary battery with an easy operability and a good energy efficiency. SOLUTION: The charging apparatus for the used secondary battery comprises means for confirming that the used secondary battery can be charged before charging and means for charging the secondary battery while thermally shrinking a package material covering the secondary battery.
