PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic tracking system that highly accurately calculates the position of a mobile object for executing automatic tracking with low power consumption and at low cost. SOLUTION: A mobile station comprises a GPS antenna for receiving a GPS radio signal from a plurality of GPS satellites, a GPS receiver fro analyzing the GPS radio signals for outputting first analysis data, and a data transmitter for transmitting the first analysis data to a fixed station. The fixed station includes a GPS antenna for receiving the GPS wave signal from the plurality of GPS satellites, a GPS receiver for analyzing the GPS radio signals for outputting second analysis data, a data receiver for receiving the first analysis data from the data transmitter of the mobile station, and an arithmetic unit for carrying out each kinematic processing to calculate the relative positional relationship between the mobile and fixed stations and for calculating the tracking direction.
