DIGITAL X-RAY DETECTOR USING PLASMA DISPLAY PANEL STRUCTURE

PURPOSE: A digital X-ray detector is provided to achieve maximized effect of X-ray detection by adding a photo-cathode layer or a photo-conductive layer to the plasma display panel. CONSTITUTION: An X-ray image detector is characterized in that a plasma display panel is used as an image detector substrate. A plasma display panel comprises two substrates(10) opposed each other; dielectric layers(20) opposed to the inner surfaces of the substrates; electrode layers(30) formed between the substrates and the dielectric layers; a barrier rib(40) formed between the dielectric layers so as to form a closed cell at the inner surface of the substrate; a phosphor layer(50) formed at the inner surface of the closed cell formed by the barrier rib and the dielectric layer, and which generates visible rays; and a gas layer(60) filling the closed cell formed by the barrier rib and the substrate, and which generates electrons.
