PURPOSE: A buckle for waist belt is provided to serve as a lantern and obtain an advertisement effect by expressing various forms thereof when turning on the lantern by forming the buckle with synthetic resin material. CONSTITUTION: The buckle comprises a belt, a connection buckle(20) and a tooth type coupling part in order to secure the belt. The buckle(20) for coupling and releasing the belt is made of synthetic resin material and comprises a belt guide(22) and a shaft supporting piece(23) at one end. The shaft supporting piece(23) includes a standing plate(21) coupled with a pivot device(24) having a hook part(24a) engaged to the tooth type coupling part; and a space(30) formed on top portion of the standing plate(21). The buckle(20) further includes a cover(25), PCB(26), LED(27), a control switch(28) and a lens(29) to irradiate light when turning on the LED.
