PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remodeling method for an existing air conditioning system which increases a heat reserving volume without changing the dimension of a water thermal storage tank and additional establishment, in remodeling the existing water thermal storage type air conditioning system, and also to provide its remodeling system. SOLUTION: The water thermal storage tank in the water thermal storage type air conditioning system is remodeled to be used as a hydrate slurry thermal storage tank 20. That is to say, a hydrate slurry production heat exchanger 21 for producing hydrate slurry is installed between the hydrate slurry thermal storage tank 20 and a refrigerator 2, stores the cold heat, cools cooling refrigerant in the air conditioning load side by a heat exchanger 27 in the hydrate slurry thermal storage tank 20, and feeds the cold heat.
