PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation apparatus which can receive route guide information at a low cost for a short period of time and can obtain detailed route guide information by necessity, and to provide a data delivery system. SOLUTION: The navigation apparatus 11 transmits and receives data via communication equipment 12 to and from a server 16, obtains map guide type data regarding an inputted destination and TBT data from the server 16, and displays the data. The apparatus 11 has a program 80 for executing a first receiving step of receiving the TBT data by requesting the acquirement of the TBT data to the server 16, a first guide step of guiding at the apparatus 11 side based on the TBT data, a second receiving step of receiving map guide type data by requesting the acquirement of the guide type data to the server 16 after the first guide step, and a second guide step of guiding based on any of the guide type data and the TBT data at the apparatus 11 side based on the received guide type data and the TBT data.
